Abstract
Three indigo samples, obtained from three sources, were submitted to accelerated ageing by exposure to intensive light in the visible range in both oxygen free (anoxia) and oxygen rich conditions. Decomposition of the samples was investigated by several analytical techniques (Attenuated Total Reflectance Infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, Reflectance UV-Visspectroscopy, X-Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy and microscopy). Results contribute to the to reaserch devoted to answering the question: Does anoxia work?
