On friday 10th June from 9.00 am in the Aula Magna of the historical Palace of the University of Modena will take place the international seminar "Sharing cultural heritage of University Museums: a participatory approach", organized thanks to the financial support of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Modena and under the patronage of the Unviersity Museums and Collections International Committee (UMAC) of the International Council of Museums (ICOM).The seminar will focus on the new challenges of digital culture that University Museums have to face to understand and deal with the different needs and questions coming from different audiences. In particular, new web 2.0 technologies allow to a great number of users to create and share contents through a growing variety of tools.
Within the seminar, in the late morning, a meeting of the Italian University Museum Commission will take place where museum delegates of the main Italian Universities will take apart. It will be an important opportunity to update the development perspectives of national University Museums, which are facing an extremely complex period because of the Italian University reform.
